In 2023, Medellín took the top spot, followed by: Smithfield (Dublin, Ireland), Carabanchel (Madrid, Spain), Havnen (Copenhagen, Denmark), Sheung Wan (Hong Kong, China), Brunswick East (Melbourne, Australia), Mid-City (New Orleans, USA), Isola (Milan, Italy), West (Amsterdam, Netherlands), Tomigaya (Tokyo, Japan)
This year, Medellín was also ranked among the 50 best places to visit in 2023 by Time magazine, one of the most influential publications in the U.S. The ranking recognized Medellín as Colombia’s creative capital, highlighting its innovative tourism experiences and social and cultural transformation.
In 2022, Medellín was named South America’s Best Emerging Destination at the World Travel Awards, recognized as Best Creative Tourism Destination by the Creative Tourism Network, and Provenza was listed among the coolest streets in the world by Time Out.
